to A-Murray-can Idol!
In honor of Fox's smash-hit American Idol, Murray in the Morning
presents A-Murray-can Idol... which will push our ratings
through the roof, and determine who has the best pipes among the MitM
cast and crew!
The premise is simple (and if you've ever seen an episode of American
Idol, you'll catch on pretty quick)...
The 12 brave contestants (members of the MitM cast and crew) are
listed below with photos
The whole contest will run for six weeks
Each week, the contestants will sing on Monday
After each Monday, each contestant's song will be posted on this website
Public voting will be open following Monday's show through
the end of Friday's show (9:30 AM ET)
Group 1 will sing during Week 1, Group 2 during Week 2, and so on...
The Semifinals and Finals will be held Weeks 4-6
The judging panel of Bruce, T.J. and Shirley do not have any final
say in which contestants advance, but they are more than welcome to
contribute their thoughts on each contestant's performance.

The winner of "A-Murray-can Idol" will ultimately
be determined by your voting, but in the meantime, MitM's panel of
judges will render their opinions on how each contestant fared.
Don't miss their comments and witty one-liners during the show, as
well as next to each song when it is posted on the web for you to
listen to over, and over, and over...
In addition to his judging duries, T.J. will also be providing the
back-up music for each contestant on the keyboard. (If you've ever
listened to "Name that Tune" on MitM, you'll feel the contestants
pain) |
From the Listeners...
Although MitM listeners can't be "A-Murray-can Idol" contestants,
longtime listener and part-time rapper Manny from El Paso
called in with his tribute to MitM. Check out Manny spit his mad lyrics
when he rhymes "dimples" with "nipples", "rookie"
with "cookie", and "the kicker boring" with "Murray
in the Morning."
